Description This is the final piece of my 'Bulldozer Blues' series. Now that the farm behind me has been completely replaced by a thousand houses, after the dust has settled, this is how it looks. I have been documenting the changes with my 'Bulldozer Blues' series...from the dismay of learning that the farm has been sold, capturing the beauty that would be gone, painting the noise, dust and commotion during the construction years, and finally now that the subdivision has been built. This final piece wouldn't be all happy and colorful had I not been able to find a new place to move to. I am happy to report that I have now moved to my new dream home which sits on a very private lot, and once again...backing onto a farm !

My sumi paintings are essentially monochromatic. I find boundless freedom in expressing myself through different shades of black, white and grey. I love to use minimal strokes capturing the essence while leaving enough white space for the viewer's imagination. (http://www.oystudio.com)
With acrylic, watercolor and oil, I feel like a 4 year old child rolling on the floor coating myself with all the different colors I love. Unlike my Chinese ink paintings, I fill the canvas with so much color that it might be suffocating for you but I am having so much fun I just want to share it with you too.
